Bodi, you are seven months now. I can’t believe how fast its gone. I was so clueless with your sister, there were days that were an eternity. But time with you seems to fly by.

You are such a joy. You are the proverbial ‘easy baby’. I really didn’t think your sister was that hard, but you are easy…as long as there’s food available. hee Because, OMGYOULOVEFOOD!! You eat nearly anything we give you…and you really wish we’d start giving you potato chips. I have to add rice cereal to your 2nd stage food, because you like it lumpy like oatmeal. You love finger foods and feeding yourself. I think you could happily eat Cheerios all day long. For sure your favorite part of the day is mealtime. You love Baby Mum-Mum rice rusks, Cheerios, yogurt drops, and graham crackers for snacks. Your favorite baby food right now is Winter Squash, but you will also eat peas, carrots, sweet potatoes…or, really any food that I offer you.

Just this week you started crawling. Its so adorable. Right now there is no coordiantion…you crawl by sheer will. You fling yourself on your belly and kick and squirm till you get there…and you do get there…FAST! Once you get up on all fours you are going to be hard to catch. You really want to walk, and often think you can. You will pull away from whoever is holding you and try to take steps…and crash…but you don’t care, it usually makes you smile.

Oh, your smile…you light up the room. You often make this super serious face until you catch someone’s eye and then you break into the best grin. Its hard to be grumpy when you are in a simley mood. You can’t help but smile at your sister. Hailey makes you glow. You really love your big sister. Its funny to watch you when she’s gone…you know something’s missing, but can’t remember what…and then she comes back and remember that you missed her!

You have 2 teeth, and one on the way. Teething makes you a little crabby, but you even try to smile thru that. You love to bite with your new teeth. Unfortunately, that includes mama…so breastfeeding is mostly done. You still nurse in the early morning…but that’s the only time anymore. Its hard for you to sit still long enough to do it anyway. You are a busy busy boy.

This summer you took a trip to Minnesota and Wisconsin to visit family. You were such a great traveler. You and Hailey sat in the backseat and she kept you company and you made her laugh. You were so patient, and good natured about the whole trip. Mostly you slept. You really liked having Hailey back there to feed you. Even when we drove straight through to get home, you dealt with it very well. I hope you keep your travel calm for a long time! Hailey loves to travel too, so we could go lots of places.

Happy 7 months booboo bear, buddy, baby boy, grumpy boo, hippo, fat man, Bodi…Mama loves you!
