Oh boy! What a week. I had such great plans…Monday and Tuesday were awesome…Wednesday started to get a little wobbly…and then it all fell apart yesterday. I ended up getting a bunch of extra computer repair work out of the blue on Wednesday afternoon…which is super awesome for our finances. Not so good with my schedule!
As far as the challenge goes…I already have a very good short routine that I really enjoy doing. I didn’t do it every day this week, there were a couple days I didn’t really get on the Wii Fit beyond doing a body test. I did exercise every day this week, and I’m very proud of that. I either did Wii Fit, walked or Gold’s Gym Cardio.
The biggest letdown about this whole week is that I didn’t get a chance to get on the Wii Fit today until 9pm tonight. I usually workout in the morning…so instead of ending the week with my weight holding steady…my Wii Fit told me I gained 2.5lbs tonight BWAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I know that I didn’t really, and it more of the time difference than anything…but its still totally disappointing. I’m going to post an update tomorrow morning after I workout then, because I know I’ll like that number better.

Saturday Morning Update: I got on my Wii Fit this morning, and just like I thought, I weighed myself and had lost 2.6lbs…so I did lose some weight this week, and I am on a downward trend…I just can’t weigh myself at 10pm at night. heee PHEW! That makes me feel so much better.
A year ago I got a Wii Fit. I was so excited! I really got into it, and started to use it every day…then after about 2 months, something happened…I got sick, or I twisted my shoulder, I can’t remember exactly what it was, but I fell out of the habit, and I just have NOT been able to get back into it. Then my friend Mika got her own Wii Fit this spring and we came up with an idea to host a Wii Fit challenge on Stuff to Love…so the Fat Fling 2010 challenge was born.
I get a very tiny amount of exercise, and that has kept me from becoming really fat…but I’m still carrying nearly 40 more pounds than I need to be. Right now I’m just aiming to get back down around 150 and be able to stay there, by the end of this year. For the challenge, I’d like to lose 5lbs. I think I can do it easy…especially if I’m getting exercise every day and being a little more accountable for what I eat. I don’t like the word ‘diet’, but I am going to stop eating so many snacks, eat heathier food, and try to drink lots more water.
So where am I at now? Today I weigh 171.5lbs. I’m between a size 14 and a size 16. I’m 5′ 5″…the Wii calls me ‘obese’, but I don’t think I’m that bad. I’m way more squishy than I’d like to be, and I want to be stronger. I do walk to work one or 2 days a week usually, and that’s what’s kept me from gaining weight to match the junk food I can consume. lol But now I need to work on making my snacks better, and my diet better. I don’t want to eat less, so much as I just want to eat better. I’ll be tracking my water intake, food and exercise over at dailyburn.com too.
I’m really excited to get to do this. I want to make using the Wii Fit a regular habit. I think doing it for a whole month will really get me into it. Want to join in too? Head on over to Stuff to Love and join in!
